Coreopsis 'Route 66' PP20609      Get your kicks with 'Route 66' at Bauer's

Bauer's Forever Flowers Perennial Farm is honored to present Coreopsis 'Route 66' PP20609 to the Plant Industry.  Coreopsis verticillata 'Route 66' was created  in our zone 5 gardens the summer of 2005 in northwestern Pennsylvania. It winters so vigorously here that it will most likely winter in zone 4 as well.

Coreopsis 'Route 66' has withstood actual temperatures to -18 degrees below zero with wind chills to -32 below zero…Yes, it is hardy…..

I have documented the bloom season of 'Route 66' from late June until mid October in zone 5. It remains nice and upright at between 24 to 28 inches high with a spread of about 24 inches. 'Route 66' is bright yellow with a large red eye.  The red is most often dominant to the yellow.  In the fall it becomes predominantly red.

We are pleased that Bobby Saul and his team at Itsaul Plants in Georgia is our acting agent for Coreopsis verticillata 'Route 66' PP20609.
